The BEST IN SUMMER SHORTS video contest was created to feature local filmmakers and bring the community together to view video shorts, discuss highlights and have a great time in the process at the Historic Milton Theatre! Discovering new talent through Best in Summer Shorts has been so well received that we decided to make it an annual event! according to Libby Zando, chair of this event.
With the popularity of Youtube.com and other venues, many people are experimenting with short video techniques and computer enhancements. BISS is an opportunity for artistic and creative individuals to showcase their own films. A screening committee will select the best of the entrants, and then show them on the big screen in the historic Milton Theatre. A panel of three judges, experienced in the field, will vote, along with the audience, to determine the winners in each age category.
There are three age categories for contestants: 13 16; 17 20; and 21 and over.
So get filming! Or, tell someone who already does. Entertain friends this weekend with a film-making party. Assign roles, create scripts, and just have fun. Then become famous!
